Fear of halving the speed of marginal Google users in the new year!

The marginal high speed affordable internet subscribers of the country are going to suffer because of the non-cooperation of Google, Facebook and the local distributors of these tech giants, Reve Systems and Ericsson Bangladesh. At the beginning of the new year, the speed of internet used by broadband internet customers outside the Divisional Headquarters of the country may be reduced by 20 percent. They may have to suffer caused by the complexities of transferring cache servers. This is because the regulatory body BTRC has made arrangements to hand over the cache servers of Google and Facebook to IIG and Nationwide ISP by December 31, but now the local internet service providers are not getting any response from these two companies. As a result, it is possible to transfer the node of the cache server completely by the time. They complained that the autonomous system or AS numbers for server transfers did not receive much response from the other side even after mailing the content provided on the website to the user to coordinate with the Content Delivery Network or CDN used for faster loading. As a result, it will not be possible to transfer even half of the cache servers they have within the time allotted by BTRC. If this continues, the process could take another three months to complete, said Imdadul Haque, president of the Internet Service Providers Association (ISPAB). He says that in the current situation, Google's servers may be in more trouble. Up to 80 percent of Facebook's servers have been transferred, but I don't see any signs that the rest will happen by 31st. Although mailed to Google and Facebook, they are not responding now. Google Server's Bangladeshi distributor- Rev System and Facebook's Ericsson are completely indifferent in this regard. Six months ago, Google stopped providing servers in Bangladesh. Although NOC from BTRC has been sent to them, they are not sending new AS numbers. Since the AS number with four or more is a unique IP for each ISP, we do not have to coordinate or transfer it with CDN. Google-Facebook has to do it. In such a situation, we applied to BTRC for extension of time. But since it hasn't happened yet; So, when the distributors shut down the cache servers as per the rules, the effect will be on the marginal customer level. This could halve the speed of Google users. According to sources, Google and Facebook have already stopped using the cache servers of some ISPs. As a result, users at the village level have already started facing some problems. Incidentally, in the beginning any ISP service provider could set up a cache server. But according to the new BTRC guidelines, only International Internet Gateway (IIG), National Internet Exchange (NIX), Mobile Operator Network and Nationwide ISP can set up new cache servers with the permission of BTRC. ISPs will not have any cache servers at the local level. Those who have it must stop. And by December 31, the cache servers they have must be transferred to licensed service providers, including IIGs.
